One of the three programs in the Canada Express Entry system for managing immigration applications is the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). Candidates with no ties to Canada who have foreign work experience are eligible to apply for permanent residency through the FSWP program. Who is eligible to apply under the FSWP? A candidate must satisfy some minimal requirements with regard to years of experience, degree of education, age, and English or French language ability in order to be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program:
Candidates can submit a Canada Express Entry profile for the Federal Skilled Worker program if they satisfy these qualifications. Candidates should be aware that they must fulfill Canada's fundamental standards for admissibility. A person may not be allowed into Canada if they have certain medical issues or criminal convictions. How to apply for FSWP in 2023? Express Entry profiles must be submitted to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) by interested candidates. Express Entry profiles are not a guarantee that applicants will be granted Canadian permanent residency. What is the processing time for FSWP? A Federal Skilled Worker Program Express Entry profile will be valid in the candidate pool for a full year. You will have 60 days to submit a complete application and supporting paperwork to the Government of Canada if you get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) while still in the pool of candidates. Express Entry applications typically take six months to process from the time they are received by Canadian officials until a permanent residency visa is issued. Your processing time may also be impacted by the following other factors:
